Beauty of Applique

After seeing the Elephant and I quilts I had done on a Facebook post I was contacted by a sweet lady by the name of Emily who also had an Elephant quilt.  She asked if I did any custom work because she had an applique quilt that she would like quilted.  She came to my house one afternoon, brought her quilts along with a mini applique quilt for me to do.  I immediately got started on the Elephant quilt and picked a perfect design for it.  Then I figured the mini would be fun to do and did a bunch of custom designs that really made the applique shine.  Then it was time to tackle the Tulip Applique quilt.  To be honest I was totally overwhelmed and completely terrified.  I hadn’t done a lot with applique on my longarm but I was up for the challenge.  Well, challenge it was.  I didn’t see the light of day from early in the morning to late at night for a week straight.  I explored every quilting technique possible, I learned a ton and pushed my quilting to perfection standards.  In the end it proved to be my greatest quilting achievement to date!  The best part for me was the fact that Emily was absolutely thrilled with my quilting and so has begun an ongoing quilting relationship.  I can’t wait to see what she brings me next!

My friend Emily showed us the quilting you did on her quilts and we were just blown away by the quality. These photos don’t hardly show the stunning quilting that you put on her tops. We will spread the word in this area for anyone looking for a longarm quilter that goes above and beyond. Absolutely stunning work.

You are most welcome. I’m not the quilter Emily is as she is teaching me as fast as I can absorb the lessons but I’ve seen a LOT of quilting and you are in a class by yourself.
