My name is Karlee Sandell, I live in West Linn, OR with my husband and 2 girls.  Growing up my mom made me beautiful clothes that I never really appreciated at the time.  Going fabric shopping was torture!  I moved back to West Linn after living in New York and Santa Monica, CA for about 10 years.  I had a little down time with 2 small kids and was looking for something new to explore.  I decided to give sewing a try.  I was hooked instantly making bags, clothes and doing little projects.  Then one day my mom mentioned that I should give quilting a try.  I didn’t know the first thing about quilting but why not!!  I took my first class and fell head over heels in love.  I was completely astonished at how you can just turn one block and an entire quilt is transformed and how color value impacts everything.  I started free motion quilting on my domestic Bernina and did some pretty good work.  And then a friend of mine suggested I give a longarm a try.  I didn’t even know what a longarm machine was!  I went to my local dealer to try out their machine and immediately I knew this was what I was meant to do!  A few months later I had a Gammill Statler Stitcher and have a thriving quilting business called Sewinspired2day.  Nothing would make me happier than to quilt for you!
