Last summer I made and quilted this same Elephant and I Quilt by Jennifer Sampou for A Common Thread quilt shop.  My customer Diana was inspired to make the quilt when she saw it hanging in their store.  Not knowing it was mine but seeing the heading on my blog she hired me to quilt hers.  Small world!  We looked at several edge to edge designs and in the end she had her heart set on the same kind of organic free motion style that I did with mine.  That was a major treat for me!  Organic style quilting to me is like quilting from the heart, I just start stitching and let it flow.  It’s not perfect, it’s not planned but it creates texture and movement and in the end I just hoped she liked it.  She did!!!  Phew!!
