Maryann made this quilt for her son’s 40th birthday.  Maryann is very meticulous about everything and you can see by how perfect the quilt is!  We worked together for quite a while to find the perfect design and the perfect thread then I had to tell her to trust me.  The design is Celtic Sea which is perfect for the maps of the world!  Needless to say she absolutely loved it!

Wonky Log Cabin with Rocket Ships

Frances made 2 of these quilts for her nephews.  It’s one of my favorite patterns by Kristin LaFlemme called Wonky Log Cabin.  These quilts are outstanding!  We decided on a Rocket Ship design from Anne Bright, if you look closely you can see the rockets and planets and stars.  Frances never ceases to amaze me with her talent for quilting.

8th grade quilt

I was contacted by Gia asking for a quilter that would be willing to quilt a quilt made by 8th graders from an alternative school in Portland.  It was a very big project and the quilt was 100×100!  I assembled the backing, quilted it with a design called Twister which is perfect!  I even made the binding strips attached them and did the hand sewing, maybe a little seam repair too. The kids did a beautiful job look at this quilt!!

Kitten’s and hearts

My mom was commissioned by her friend to make these quilts for her granddaughter. The Kitten quilt is not an easy task and my mom made it perfectly.  I love every singe fabric, she made the Pixel Heart quilt with the leftover scraps. Great job mom and congratulations Janet.

Modern Curves

Carol got my information from the Pine Needle Quilt Shop.  She made this fantastic Elizabeth Hartman quilt for a baby boy.  Carol knew exactly what design she wanted after seeing a quilt I did for Dawn White that is hanging at the Pine Needle.  I love this quilt and the design is perfect.  Carol was thrilled and especially appreciated the 1 day turn around!

Thimble Blossoms

I have always admired these Thimble Blossom quilts so much.  I was so excited to get an email from Kathleen asking me to quilt hers!!  I love everything about this quilt, the fabrics, and the pattern are so precious.  We looked through lots of designs for this quilt and in the end her favorite was Diagonal Plaid, which looks great on just about every quilt!  I hope to quilt for her again.

I followed Ruthie’s Instagram posts as she made this incredible quilt called Pickled Fish.  I was beyond excited when she told me I would be quilting it!  My mom came over while I was quilting it and she was so in love with it, she said “Wow!  I love the fabric and the pattern, I would make that quilt!”  I said “mom, it’s paper pieced and quite a challenge.”  And she said “oh, nevermind!”  My mom is a perfect piecer and could totally do this but paper piecing isn’t something I see her really wanting to take on, not with all the other amazing artistic things she does.  The quilting design is called Swan Song.  I had this design in mind for this quilt for a while, it’s perfect for this quilt!

Lucy in the Sky #4

If you read my blog you have seen this quilt a few times, one for the Pine Needle and 2 for Lana.  This one was for a new customer Jodine.  She needed a quick turn around which is fine with me.  The design we chose is one I have wanted to use for a while called In the Moment by Anne Bright.  I love how it turned out!

Modern Improv

It’s always fun when Carole Lyse Shaw sends me quilts.  Carole is the author of Madly Modern Quilts and Patriotic Modern Quilts which hasn’t been published yet.  This quilt will also be in one of her upcoming books.  As you can see Modern Improv is her thing!  It took me a while and a lot of drawing to come up with something cool to do on this quilt.  Once I got going it all came together.  I love quilting for her because she just says “go for it!” And I did.

Quilt with a signature

This is the second quilt I have done for Sara and once again she asked that I quilt a Celtic Knot somewhere on her quilt.  The quilting design is called Pansy Patch and as you can see I incorporated the Celtic Knot into the pattern! I love her fabrics it’s such a cheery quilt. Can’t wait to see what she does next.
